Arrianne Christelle J. Apostol, a senior of the Bachelor of Education major in English of Camiguin Polytechnic State College was chosen as one of the 2014 Ten Outstanding Jose Rizal Model Student of the Philippines (JRMSP).
The finalists were select group of students from public and private colleges and universities in the Philippines. The nominees were evaluated based on Academic Excellence, Extra Curricular Activities and Community Involvement which composed of 45 % Bid books consisting of their achievements from local, regional, national to international venues, 15% panel interview, 30% knowledge about Rizal and 10% self-presentation.
The searched is organized by the Order of the Knights of Rizal, a civic and patriotic organization, chartered under the Republic Act No. 646which aimed to give due recognition to the ten outstanding senior students who best epitomize the Rizalian qualities of excellence and leadership, thereby serving as living models to the youth of their generation.
Apostol is a consistent Dean’s Lister and scholar of the program One Town, One Scholar of the Commission on Higher Education Region X (OTOS-CHED).She is also an active servant leader who is currently the CPSC-Central Student Government – Senate President at same time the editor-in-chief of the campus official student publication. She also presented papers at the Philippine Association for Teacher Education – Association of Teacher Education Region X .She has attended several regional and national leadership seminar and workshop.
Recently, Apostol along with her fellow CPSC-CSG student leaders attended the Third Philippine I – Transform! Young Leaders Convention (PITYLC) Luzon Wave at Teachers Camp,Baguio City and reaps gold medals for the competition in the category of Kabataan Fair Project Proposal.
The awarding was made by the Order of the Knights of Rizal through its Supreme Council last December 30, 2014 right after the Rizal Day Celebration at the International Headquarters, Port Area, Manila.
